James Joyce Irish Pub & Eatery

Great little pub in Ybor City. Plenty of parking nearby. Cocktails were great and food was decent. It’s one block off the main road going down Ybor. It’s a casual cool little place. I’d go back next time I’m in the Tampa area.

Second time here, first time was a few years ago. A very quiet Sunday afternoon, bartender was superb and friendly. I got the tater tots with shepherd's pie on top and it was totally amazing. A must have !

If you’re looking for great food, great drinks, and a place that’s just plain fun, check out James Joyce Irish Pub & Eatery. I had their shepherd’s pie and it was absolutely amazing — rich, hearty, and exactly what you want when you walk into a real Irish pub. My girlfriend ordered the fish and chips and they were just as impressive — crispy, fresh, and cooked perfectly. Now let’s talk about the drinks… because we didn’t stop at one. We had multiple shots that absolutely hit the spot. Yes, we both had their Duck Fart shots — you read that correctly — and they were surprisingly smooth and delicious. I followed that up with an Irish Breakfast shot, while my girlfriend went with a Starburst shot, which she loved. On top of the great food and drinks, the staff were hilarious — super friendly, quick with jokes, and clearly enjoy what they do. It made the whole experience even better. Overall, it’s the kind of place where you go for good food but end up staying for the laughs, drinks, and great atmosphere. Definitely a spot for a fun night out.

This is our favorite Irish pub! The staff are always friendly and fun. The food is superb and they have a great variety of liquors; and beers on tap. I enjoy stopping here for a Guinness draft or 3! This is always our first stop on every trip to Ybor City. The pub chips are incredible!

It was awesome from the moment we walked through the door. You would think that we were regulars, we were greeted as we walked in. We were seated right away. The Scotch Egg was great and then to have the tater tots with shepherds pie on top of it was beyond what we could expect. There was live music after a bit which just added to the experience. Thank you for making the night out so great.

Stopped in for a quick bite and drink. Bartender was great and friendly. Huge selection of beers and booze. Food was great, the Shepherds Pie / Guinness Tots were awesome as well as the Shepherds Pie Eggrolls

Kilkenny on tap, the greatest beer ever, hard to find in the states. 5 stars alone for that…IYKYK… great jukebox… hot bartenders

Went for a quick meal & drink before showing up for a comedy show at the Funny Bone. Which is convenient, it's only a few blocks away. I had this yummy coffee/whisky blend. Love that the place had the World Cup on, service was great, food was yummy. Would recommend this place.
